Dr. Rob Cristel will be completing Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He plans to remain in St. Louis, MO in private practice following fellowship.
UIC provided amazing support and mentorship throughout my residency to help prepare me for fellowship and a career in facial plastic surgery. I enjoyed the strong camaraderie among co-residents and attendings. The variety of patients, hospital systems, and faculty is unique to UIC and provides a broad training experience unmatched by other programs.
Dr. Cody Jeu is heading to Houston, Texas to join a private practice ENT group as a Comprehensive Otolaryngologist following completion of residency.
The training at UIC, specifically the wide breadth of exposure to diverse patient populations, training sites, highly regarded faculty mentors, coupled with autonomy that is unmatched, has prepared me to go off with confidence in this next stage of my career. The residency experience of UIC ENT creates not only highly qualified and confident surgeons, but overall better people that will now join the UIC ENT alumni family.
Dr. Johanna Wickemeyer will attend Cincinnati Children Hospital’s Sleep Fellowship for Sleep Medicine and Sleep Surgery. Following her one year fellowship, she plans to become faculty at an academic institution.
UIC offers resident training in diverse clinical settings, patient populations, and faculty with broad expertise. It is through this wide exposure that I was provided the clinical acumen, technical skill, and extensive experience to confidently tackle any future obstacle I will face in practice. I credit my success to my caring, engaged, and patient faculty members who have supported me in my goals and offered support throughout every year of my residency.
